Dr Kieran McNamara
Dr Kieran McNamara is passionate about giving the highest standard of patient care. In 2010, he graduated with honours from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery after previously completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Queensland University in 2002.
Dr McNamara has spent a few busy years living and working in Goondiwindi, Newcastle, and Brisbane before finally making the Northern Rivers home—where he lives with his wife Marta and three very loud boys: six-year-old Liam, four-year-old Henry, and two-year-old Cameron.
Dr McNamara’s focus is on cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers, dental implants, and wisdom tooth removal. He is an accredited member of The Australian Society of Implant Dentistry and completed the year-long Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry with the GIDE Institute at UCLA in 2011. He has placed and restored over 1000 dental implants.
Dr McNamara has travelled extensively to update his skills and knowledge, including recent trips to Burma, Miami, and San Jose to be trained in atraumatic wisdom tooth removal by some of the world's leading oral surgeons. He currently travels to Mt Isa, Gladstone, Inverell, Toowoomba, and multiple practices around Brisbane and the Gold Coast, to provide oral surgery services such as wisdom teeth removal both in a practice setting and under general anaesthetic in a hospital.
Outside of dentistry, Dr McNamara interests include cricket, surfing, and fishing.
