A local to the northern rivers, Alana grew up in Alstonville and attended Blue Hills College. With a keen interest in dentistry, Alana moved to Melbourne to earn her Bachelor of Oral Health degree through Charles Sturt University where she completed various clinical placements throughout regional NSW. On the completion of her degree in 2017, she moved to Port Macquarie where she worked in a busy multidisciplinary dental practice alongside 8 dentists and 3 other oral health therapists. Following this, she moved with her partner James to back down to Melbourne where she worked in Kew for 3 years. Having grown up in the Northern Rivers, Alana is pleased to be back home for good. Her dental philosophy is firmly grounded in preventative care, priding herself on ensuring that the needs and concerns of her patients are addressed with attention and care. Thorough, yet gentle treatment is exceedingly important to her when treating all of her valued patients. Alana has extensive knowledge and experience in preventative dentistry, with special interests and honed skills in dental hygiene, pediatric dentistry, teeth whitening, gum care and periodontal treatments. In her spare time, Alana enjoys socialising with family and friends, tending to her cactus garden and watching movies.
