- Nitrous Oxide: This is a gentle relaxant delivered through a small nose mask. With nitrous, you’ll feel relaxed and detached from treatment. The effects wear off immediately after mask removal.
- Oral Premedication: This is a pill you take before treatment. The effects remain for many hours, so you’ll need transportation from our dental clinic.
- Twilight Conscious Sedation: You’ll remain semi-conscious with this option and may not recall much of your treatment. You’ll require transportation from our dental clinic.
- General Anaesthesia (Sleep Dentistry): This is the most potent option and is administered via IV. It allows you to sleep through treatment, and you’ll not be able to drive after.
