Smile Gallery: Crowns and Bridges

This lady suffered from grinding and tooth wear wanted to get the perfect smile she once had.  We designed her smile using digital smile design technology and restored her smile with Porcelain crowns and veneers on every tooth. In this case we needed to involve every tooth as the wear had made the distance between her nose and chin get smaller and her mouth over closed so we needed to open her bite and restore the original distance she would have had prior to the wear. 

The upper right lateral needed to be extracted and the midline was canted to the left.  On top of this the existing teeth were stained and uneven and had cracks running through them. We re orientated the midline of the teeth with the midline of this ladies face and placed a bridge on the top right and 3 crowns on the top left to make her smile symmetrical and even. 

We upgraded and replaced 6 old stained composite resin veneers with 6 Porcelain Veneers.  The smile was designed with Digital Smile design technology and we especially like how white yet natural the teeth look due to the translucent t incisal edges and symmetrical shape of the teeth following her lip line as she smiles. 

This lady did not like the amount of gum she showed when she smiled and felt like her teeth were not even. First we performed Zoom Whitening to improve the shade or colour of her teeth.  Then we did a gum lift procedure that removed the excess gum and recontouring and reshaped the tissue to reduce her gummy smile.  Finally we used Digital Smile Design technology to create the perfect smile with 10 Porcelain Crowns. 

This smile was was almost perfect but for the heavily filled and slightly asymmetrical front teeth.  We redesigned the 4 perfectly symmetrical front teeth with e max Porcelain Crowns and performed Zoom Whitening to improve the shade of the remaining teeth and got an amazing outcome. 

The patient suffered from wear, chipped teeth and had a midline gap he wanted removed. We restored the smile with 10 custom made porcelain crowns. 

We replaced old stained composite resin veneers with a combination of 10 porcelain and crowns veneers to restore the natural tooth colour, shape, congruency and surface characteristics of her front teeth. 

The patient did not like her stained decayed and chipped front teeth so we removed decay and placed emax ceramic crowns on the front upper 6 teeth. The translucent incisal edges make the teeth look natural.  We also performed Zoom whitening on the surrounding teeth.  The patient was offered a gum lift to decrease the amount of soft tissue she displayed when she smiled but she was happy improving the shape and shade of her front teeth. 

This patient had crowns done at various times over the previous 30 years there was no overall thought towards creating a smile that best suited the facial aesthetics and profile of the patient.  Over time the gums receded and exposed the metal copings of the crowns and dark stained roots which were subsequently patched with fillings to mask the darker root shades.  We replaced the old porcelain fused to metal crowns with ceramic crowns, bridges and dental implants using digital smile design technology to create the perfect smile.   All treatment except crown inserts was achieved under general anesthetic.
